Training and accreditation

I trained at the internationally renowned College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading, obtaining a BSc (Hons) Degree and Licentiate in Acupuncture (Lic.Ac) The course is highly acclaimed and recognised as providing some of the highest quality training in the UK, requiring 3600 hours of study involving clinical practice, study of anatomy and physiology, in depth Chinese medicine, clinical sciences, Western medicine and red flags of disease amongst others.

I have a particular interest in treating trauma and emotional difficulties such as depression, anxiety and mental health issues and through my own personal experiences in life, feel this is where I can make a huge difference to people’s well-being and health, however I am fully trained to treat any presenting illness so please do not let this deter you from reaching out for treatment for other illnesses.

I have been involved in the world of alternative health care for over 25 years, having originally studied aromatherapy, reflexology, Swedish and Indian head massage. I also have a keen interest in Bach Flower remedies and like to use these alongside many of my acupuncture treatments as I find them wonderfully grounding and beneficial.

Upon leaving school, I originally trained as a Nursery Nurse, initially specialising in Autism and later as a neonatal SCBU Nursery Nurse and am proud to have trained under the world renown peadiatric acupuncturists Julian Scott and Kath Berry, enabling me to bring the wonderful benefits of acupuncture to children.

I am a firm believer in continual learning and undertake various CPD (Continuing Professional Development) courses throughout the year to extend my knowledge and enhance treatments for my patients. I am also training in Chinese Herbal Medicine and am excited to add this to my repertoire once qualified.
